View from the Tate

The view from the viewing gallery at the Tate Modern on London’s Bankside takes in some of the most famous landmarks in the City. In the foreground is the chimney of the former Bankside power station, where the Tate is based and which was converted to it’s current use in 2000. Behind this is the Millennium footbridge then St Paul’s cathrdral and in the distance, the towers of the Barbican Centre.
